Meet Bridget

Bridget Johnston is a vivacious crossover soprano completing her masters of music degree in Vocal Performance at Carnegie Mellon University.
Bridget's Story
In addition to her ongoing education work with Pittsburgh Festival Opera, Bridget has directed multiple choirs of various ages in her hometown of Waukee, Iowa.
She founded and directed a youth choir and contemporary teen choir at her home parish, serving as the interim music director during the Covid-19 pandemic. Her studio teaching experiences include beginner-level piano, all-level voice, and beginner ukulele.
As a young opera singer, Bridget has sung in productions of multiple regional houses such as Cedar Rapids Opera, Savannah Opera, and Des Moines Metro Opera. She holds a Bachelor of Music degree from Iowa State University.
